Surfing

The West Java area has several well known world class surf breaks plus many others that on there day are also class breaks.

Pelabuhan Ratu / Genteng

This area has many consistant quality surf breaks such as : Ombak Tujuh , Turtles, Cimaja, Loji, Suwarna etc.

The boat charters that we do in this area are day trips that allow you to surf at multiple locations in the one day. For example surf Suwarna in the morning then arcoss the bay for the afternoon sessions at Ombak Tujuh or Turtles. The boat cruises at over 30knots and can carry 8 passengers. Ujung Kulon, Panitian Island

On swells over 2 meters this area really comes alive with breaks such as : One Palm Point, Illusions, Napalm , Apocalypse, Tanjung Lesung.

The Boat Charters we do here are 2 to 5 day charters that are totally customised to what you would like to do. For example check out the surf forcasts on www.stormsurf.com, predict when you think the swell will arrive and we will take you and your friends out to Panitian Island for the duration of the swell then return to port without having to waste you valuable holiday time sitting on a yacht with no swell . Transfers to and from Jakarta Airport can be arranged.

Sportfishing

Sportfishing:

The West Java coast from Ujung Genteng to Ujung Kulon is home to many species of sport fish such as Black Marlin , Sailfish, Yellow Fin Tuna, Dogtooth Tuna, Wahoo, Tenggiri, Mahi-Mahi etc.


Poping/Jigging

The coast line faces the Indian Ocean and is rugged with heaps of wave action,
making it ideal for casting poppers and jigging around the various rock outcrops and drop-offs. GTs and Dogtooth Tuna  are in abundance .


Flyfishing:

The tropical rainforest areas of Ujung Kulon National park and Panitian Island have serveral creeks and mangrove regions that provide excellent opportunities for the fly fisherman. Species such as Mangrove Jack, Talpon and Baramundi can be targeted.

Diving and Sightseeing

West Java has been gifted with some unique natural attractions such as Krakatau Volcano, and the unspoilt tropical rainforests of Ujung Kulon National Park which is the last remaining habitat of the Javanese White Rhino. Also the beautiful tropical islands of Tingul , Deli, Panitia and Peucang, each with their own unique fauna and flora.

Any of the charters we do, either in Pelabuhan Ratu or in Anyer can be customised to include visits to the rainforests, islands or volcanos in the general area of the charter at no extra charge. An example would be to spend a few days fishing in Ujung Kulon and on the way home to port call in to Anak Krakatau for a few trophy-shots, a swim and a walk up the volcano.

Two courses for the strong. They are designed by Peter Thomson and Michael Wolveridge. The Cikeas River winds throughout the Old Course and is often the water hazard. The feature hole is the 100 metres elevated tee which is a par 5, (503 metre). The Old Course is for members only. The New Course requires good shot-making as the fairways are tighter, there are more trees, doglegs and bunkers.

Situated on the slope of Mt. Welirang and Arjuno and 3-400 metres above sea level the golfer is presented with wonderful vistas. It is a champioship course designed by Thomson, Wolveridge, and Perrett.


TREKKING TRIP

Gunung Gede - Jawa Barat.
Mendaki sampai puncak gunung yang mempunyai pemandangan indah yang terletak di Jawa Barat, Gn. Gede dengan ketinggian 2.958 M dari permukaan laut. Serta menikmati keindahan alam dan objek-objek alami yang terdapat di Taman Nasional Gede Pangrango. Untuk mencapai kesana hanya diperlukan waktu sekitar 2 jam mengendarai mobil dari Jakarta. Banyak sekali tempat menarik dan indah yang dapat dikunjungi disini, seperti: air terjun, sungai air panas, kawah dan lainya.

Titik mulai pendakian kita adalah desa kecil yang terletak dikaki Gn. Gede yang dikenal dengan nama Gunung Putri. Kebanyakan penduduk di desa ini adalah petani dan sangat bersahabat. Anda akan menemukan senyum hangat tulus yang akan menyambut anda setiap berpapasan dengan mereka. Perjalan trekking kita dimulai dengan menapaki jalan setapak memasuki hutan serta melewati lembah dan berakhir di padang rumput yang hening dan dikenal dengan nama Alun-alun Suryakencana (2,750 m a.s.l), dimana anda bisa menemukan bunga abadi edeilweiss serta rumput ilalang kuning yang bergoyang lembut dihembus angin gunung. Perjalanan trekking ini diakhiri dengan mengunjungi sungai air panas dan tiga buah air terjun serta danau biru pada saat perjalanan turun ke arah Cibodas, Cibodas terletak disebelah sisi lain dari tempat kita memulai pendakian yaitu Gunung Putri.


Cave Exploring

Cave Exploring is a wonderful sport for all but the youngest family members. West Java caters to this activity brilliantly as there are numerous caverns to explore. One of the better known ones is Buni Ayu at Pelabuhan Ratu Beach. Buni Ayu cave is regarded as the "Gua Siluman or Invisible Cave" and it has a 12 hectare spacious area inside as well as a 5 m high waterfall and classic ornamentation of stalactites and stalagmites.


Horse Riding

Horse Riding A number if hotels and resorts offer this activity as do some of the national parks. Ride along the sides of volcanoes or gallop, with the wind in your hair, along a wide sandy beach. This is another sport most members of the family can enjoy. It is advised that long trousers are worn as often folk ride with shorts or unsuitable clothes and wonder why their legs are bruised (from the saddle leathers etc) on their return from the ride.


Ice Hockey (and Ice Skating)

Ice Hockey (and Ice Skating) can be enjoyed at the Sky Rink at the Taman Anggrek Mall in Jakarta, which is a little out of the way for some visiting West Java, but if you are enthusiastic enough, isn't too far from some areas and probably worth trekking to Jakarta for.


Mountain Biking

Mountain Biking can be done throughout West Java and its mountainous terrain is perfectly suited for this exciting activity. Cycle past paddy fields, up the sides of volcanoes or along the winding coast. There's something to suit all tastes here, that's for sure. Many hotel's hire bikes out and there are a few rental venues scattered around the area.


Polo

Polo Jakarta Polo and Equestrian Centre offers this exciting sport and is one of the main venues that has regular competitions, there are other venues closer to West Java proper but at the time of writing this information is unavailable. Please ask at your hotel for more information.
